Upper Valley Community Band Concert and BBQ, 150 Heater Road, Lebanon, NH<\/strong><\/p>

Sunday, 8\/31\/25, 4:00pm to 6:00pm<\/p>

Close-knit communities don\u2019t simply materialize. People work together to create cohesion, trust and\u2013in this case\u2013music! \u00a0Three Upper Valley organizations\u2013the Lebanon Elks, the Hanover Lions, and the Upper Valley Community Band under the direction of Mark Nelson (for the 6th year)\u2013join forces to foster community and support a great cause. Thanks for joining us on Sunday, August 31st, at 4 p.m. at the Lebanon Elks field (150 Heater Road, Lebanon) for a free outdoor concert by the Upper Valley Community Band followed by a BBQ ($). The concert and BBQ benefit Copper Cannon Camp and Camp Mayhew, tuition-free summer camps for underserved youth in New Hampshire. You help support these worthy causes. Donations will be graciously accepted at the concert; however, please consider making a donation to the Hanover Lions Club, PO Box 871, Hanover, NH 03755 Attn. Camp Fundraiser. Chances are you know an Elk, a Lion, or an Upper Valley Band member. Hanover Lions Club “Byrne Cup” Twin State All-Star Lacrosse Games<\/strong> <\/em>are held annually.<\/p>

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the NH Girls’ All-Stars play the VT Girls’ All-Stars, and the VT Boys’ All-Stars play the NH Boys’ All-Stars. Get ready for the games that honor the high-school All-Stars and raise money for the Hanover Lions to return to the community!<\/p>

April Action Auction<\/strong><\/h1>

Our April Action Auction for 2026 has commenced! We will accept bids from April 1st to April 12th. This year\u2019s proceeds will be donated to the Upper Valley Health Closet, an organization that gives free durable medical equipment to those who need it. Bid, and contribute to the greater good.<\/p>

The Hanover Lions Club recycles eyeglasses that are no longer useful for the owner when, for example, the owner gets a new prescription. The Lions then sends the glasses to people around the world who can use them. Find out how you can participate.<\/a><\/p>\n

Drop off locations include the Hanover Food Coop, the Lebanon Coop, the Howe Library, Hanover High School, Hill Opticians, Hanover Eye Care, and Kendal at Hanover. The\u00a0Annual Prouty<\/strong>\u00a0is an athletic event that raises funds to benefit Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC), one of 51 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country, and the only one in northern New England.<\/p>

The Prouty\u2122 began in 1982 when four NCCC nurses, inspired by the courage of their patient, Audrey Prouty, committed to cycling 100 miles through the White Mountains of New Hampshire.<\/p>

The Hanover Lions Club runs the grill tent which serves food to participants as they finish their rides\/walks\/outings.<\/p>
